About Me

Aloha!  My name is Kyong-Mi Dillard CMT (certificate #3199) and I have been in the bodywork and wellness industry my entire life. I basically grew up in the spa as my family owned spas throughout Orange County my entire childhood.

I have been a massage therapist since 1998. I have worked for small spas, high-end day spas, chain spas, as well as medical and chiropractic doctors. Massage therapy has been a rewarding career.

I currently work in a massage boutique in Long Beach, California.  I do not advertise where I work on my website, so if you need specifics, please let me know by messaging me.  I try to use my best discretion on the internet, because some folks are strange!

My main modalities include: Swedish, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Lomi Lomi, and hot stone therapy. I am also certified in Aromatherapy and Reiki.  I prefer deeper work (Eastern modalities and Deep Tissue) and have been told I have heavy hands, though I don't like being taken advantage of if all you want to pay for is Swedish massage but expect me to go deeper.  Believe me, I know the kind...been down that road and I don't like it.  I hate to be blunt, but it happens more often than you know!

Massage Schools I have attended include:

  • California College of Physical Arts
  • West Pacific Institute of Body Therapy
  • Spa Training Academy

Non-Massage related courses I have taken were:
  • Reiki – Learning Light Foundation
  • Intuitive Energy Healing –Learning Light Foundation
  • Business Management – International Correspondence Schools
  • Gender and Sexuality: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace – University of Pittsburgh
  • Indigenous Canada – University of Alberta

Former Volunteer for:

  • CSL Plasma – Plasma donation
  • Surf City 1/2 Marathon – Chair Massage
  • Star View Elementary School – Kindergarten Aide
  • Geni.com – Genealogist, Curator
  • US Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships – Massage Therapy

Charities:

  • Green Peace
  • St. Labre Indian School

Outside of massage therapy, my hobbies include hanging out with my family, hiking, genealogy, Indigenous history and social anthropology, and tiki culture.  I also love tropical Christmas ornaments and funny teeshirts.
